I’m really interested in making an art journal that includes my furniture painting materials, chalk paint and IOD Transfers amongst my favorites. So in this tutorial I set out to create a work of art of sorts. Here’s how to apply an Iron Orchid Designs Transfer to painted paper.
Supplies used:
- Brown paper
- White, Red and Orange Chalk Paints
- Small Brush
- IOD Transfer
Step 1)
Paint a white base onto the brown paper. You can have fun with this and paint in every which way! Dry thoroughly.
Step 2)
Using the red and orange chalk paints paint with both in a blotchy semi blended melange, have fun with this part!
Step 3)
Apply the Iron Orchid Designs Transfer. Take your time and carefully burnish the transfer to the painted background.
Step 4)
Enjoy! You can frame your finished piece or hang it like a tapestry.
